What you're paying for…
A 11x14" or 12x12” custom color pencil portrait of your pet, drawn and signed by me. The size may vary slightly depending on the shape and composition of the portrait. Background color will be white. A small border is always left around the portrait to enable mounting and framing. I use light fast professional artist grade color pencils on 170lb Clairefontaine Pastelmat. The price includes one subject only (head and neck like the portraits shown). A Certificate of Authenticity signed by the artist will be included.
What I need from you…
Once you pay, you need to email me at valtartist@gmail.com with a high-resolution picture of your pet. If you have 2-3 additional photos, please send them too. The clearer the pictures the more I have to work with, and the better the final portrait. The best pictures are in natural light showing all their fur details and sparkling eyes. If you don't have any clear photos, don’t worry. Email them to me before purchasing the portrait and I'll let you know if I can work from them, or not.
Your portrait will typically be completed in 2-6 weeks depending on the difficulty and amount of detail required, and my waiting list. If you need it for a special occasion, please check with me before placing your order.
